. In Nigeria, successive Federal Governments have made attempts to improve the quality of life of the ordinary Nigerian through
policies which were designed to provide qualitative medical facilities to provide the desired medical services as well as funds to procure the required equipment.
The ability of the developed nations to provide adequate medical services to their citizens has largely been due to the implementation of various health insurance and welfare packages. The absence of such packages in Nigeria has been largely responsible for the funding of the health sector and the inability of Nigerians to
receive proper healthcare in times of need.
It was in realisation of this shortcoming and the need to prevent the situation from worsening, that several insurance organisations came together to incorporate a healthcare insurance scheme targeted at Nigerians in Nigeria.
And so was born Healthcare International.
Healthcare Internationals goal is to guarantee adequate medical services to ordinary Nigerians at an affordable cost. It does this by pooling its financial resources from its
members companies and delivering healthcare through a network of selected healthcare providers across Nigeria.
